Umu Obiligbo will headline the inaugural Obindigbo Music Fest in Abuja on November 15, 2026, according to a report published by THISDAY on November 2.
The announced bill also includes Zoro, Ruffcoin, Okechi Diamond, Ned Wazobia and Ugoccie, alongside special guests. Organisers describe the event as a platform for celebrating Igbo music and cultural identity, with plans to develop it into an annual event.
A live event with a cultural brief
The festival is being developed by Stealth Mode Ltd in partnership with Umu Obiligbo Global. The organisers say the event will combine performances with brand experiences and opportunities for cultural institutions and partners to engage with the audience.
For artists and music businesses, events built around a distinct cultural identity can create space for repertoire and stories that may not always receive the same visibility in mainstream campaigns. The long-term impact will depend on consistent programming, audience support and sustainable partnerships beyond the first edition.
The event is announced for Abuja on November 15. Readers planning to attend should check the organisers’ ticketing and venue updates before travelling.
